How to Get to Isafjordur

Ísafjörður is a small town on the northwestern side of Iceland! It is accessible via car, plane, or cruise ship.

The main airport is Ísafjörður Airport, and from there it is a 7 minute drive into town.

The cruise port is Ísafjörður Cruise Ship Dock, which takes you directly into town.

If you are driving up from Reykjavik, it is about a 5.5hr drive!

There is a small town center with a few restaurants, cafes, & shops that you can explore.

Right in town is Westfjord History Museum! Take a walk through the open air museum, enjoy the traditional buildings, and even grab a bite to eat at their authentic Icelandic Restaurant.

Take in the view at the top of the hill overlooking Ísafjörður! This is a breathtaking view of the mountains & water, punctuated by fields of gorgeous flowers in summertime.
